Elixir Strings Nanoweb 80/20 Acoustic Strings Review

Elixir Strings Nanoweb 80/20 Acoustic Guitar Strings Review Published May 4, 2010 | Edited May 4 2019

Before I tell you how I feel about these strings, I want to thank Elixir for their support in reviewing their product! Visit Elixir at www.elixirstrings.com and check them out.

These Elixir strings are great! I changed the strings on my old Yamaha acoustic to the Elixir Nanoweb 80/20 Acoustic Custom Light, and it sounded great from the get-go. Compared to D’addario acoustic strings of the same gauge and material, the Elixir strings did not have to go through the extended “break in” time where your strings go from a brighter sound to a warmer sound.

These strings have “Nanoweb coating”, which means that they have the sound and feel of non-coated strings that have not been broken in, however they still ended up sounding rich and full.

The only real drawback to these strings is the price. Elixir strings can go anywhere between $11.00 and $16.00 USD. That being said, if you can afford it, these strings will last long and will be well worth the money.
